The paint code identifies, for the year, make, and model of your Acura, what OEM paint formulation is used to match the color of your car.
The code will be easy to find in your Acura.
There is a label found on the inside of the driver side door. The label is the same for Honda and Acura models and may say Honda on it.
At the bottom of the sticker is a product bar and below that several numbers and/or letters. The middle set of numbers and letters is your paint code.
No. You need a paint company specializing in formulating OEM, or original paint colors, for Acura models and makes.
No one has auto paint sitting around for your 5-year old car. If they did it would probably not be good anymore.
That is why only a few providers exist with state of the art facilities to precisely generate the exact color of paint for your Acura.
Our highly recommended touch up paint supplier is MicroFinish AutomotiveTouchup. The company has OEM quality paint, the ability to exact match the original paint color of your car, and their efficient pricing.

About "Acura" or "Honda" Brand Paint
Acura is a Honda brand and Honda is not in the car paint manufacturing business. Acura paint is outsourced to the aftermarket like other vehicle products. This allows touch up paint to be made by specialized companies. If you see "Honda" or "Acura" labeled paint it is simply outsourced paint with a label.
For example, "Martha Stewart" paint is a label outsourced by Martha Stewart. Would you put Martha Stewart paint on your Acura? Of course not. But it is the same company making paint and putting different labels on it. This is a major reason why we recommend a specialized automotive paint manufacturer like Microfinish. Auto paint is all they do.
With "Acura" or "Honda" labeled paint you also do not get an exact color match like you do if working with a specialty company like Microfinish.
