Acura features the following models:
ILX - The lowest price Acura with a base price of about $27,000, it has the smalled engine at only 2 or 2.4 liters. It is also the only Acura available in manual transmission. Paint colors include Urban Titanium Metallic, Crimson Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Orchid White Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, and Fathom Blue Pearl.
TLX - The next step up from the ILX is the TLX, The car has a base price of about $31,000. It comes with a 2.4 or 3.5 six cylinder engine. In addition to front wheel drive there is also an all-wheel drive option. Paint colors include Black Bronze Pearl, Basque Red Pearl II, Acura Silver Metallic, Orchid White Pearl, Graphite Luster Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and Obsidian Blue Pearl.
RLX - the most expensive Acura that is not a hybrid, the base price is $48,000. The RLX only comes in a front wheel drive model. Paint colors include Gilded Pewter Metallic, Pomegranate Pearl, Forged Silver Metallic, Orchid White Pearl, Graphite Luster Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and Alabaster Silver Metallic.
RLX Sport Hybrid - The only hybrid sold by Acura, it adds about $10,000 to the RLX base price. It is also available with an all-wheel drive option. Paint colors include the same as for the regular RLX model.
RDX - The RDX moves away from the sedan look and has a back opening hatch. The starting price is about $35,000. Paint colors include Kona Coffee Metallic, Basque Red Pearl II, Basque Red Pearl, Forged Silver Metallic, Graphite Luster Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, and White Diamond Pearl.
MDX - Starting at about $42,000, this is the largest Acura able to seat seven. All other vehicles seat five persons. Paint colors include Dark Cherry Pearl, Graphite Luster Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, White Diamond Pearl, Forest Mist Metallic, and Obsidian Blue Pearl.
About "Acura" or "Honda" Brand Paint
Acura is a Honda brand and Honda is not in the car paint manufacturing business. Acura paint is outsourced to the aftermarket like other vehicle products. This allows touch up paint to be made by specialized companies. If you see "Honda" or "Acura" labeled paint it is simply outsourced paint with a label.
For example, "Martha Stewart" paint is a label outsourced by Martha Stewart. Would you put Martha Stewart paint on your Acura? Of course not.
